Born From Love. Built With Purpose.

Our founder, Brucyne Gantt, and her husband, Gregory Brown, are the proud parents of twin boys, Chase and Chance, whose journey forever changed their lives and inspired a mission to help other children and families affected by autism.

Chase and Chance were born prematurely at just 25 weeks, weighing only 1 pound, 9 ounces each. After spending four months in the NICU, they came home to a family determined to surround them with love, support, and every opportunity possible.

As the boys grew, Brucyne began noticing developmental differences, including limited eye contact and not consistently responding to their names. Eventually, both Chase and Chance were diagnosed with autism.

Their diagnosis didn't change who they were. They were still two amazing little boys with their own personalities, strengths, challenges, gifts, and unlimited potential. But their diagnosis opened Brucyne and Gregory's eyes to a world they had never experienced before.

As parents, they began navigating therapies, education, insurance, medical appointments, community resources, and the everyday realities that can come with raising autistic children. Along the way, they saw firsthand how difficult it can be for families to find the right resources, understand where to turn for help, and locate safe and welcoming spaces where their children are truly accepted.

Through their own journey, one thing became very clear: families needed a village.

They needed places where their children could simply be themselves without fear of judgment. They needed access to resources, education, advocacy, and support. They needed other parents who understood their experiences. And they needed a community willing to see the ability, value, and potential in every autistic child.

Instead of continuing to search for the village their family needed, Brucyne and Gregory decided to help build it.

From that love, determination, and lived experience came Autistic and Awesome, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering autistic children and their families through advocacy, education, inclusive programs, resources, family support, and meaningful community partnerships.

We believe every autistic child deserves to be seen, heard, valued, supported, included, and celebrated. We believe families should never have to navigate this journey alone. And we believe a diagnosis should never determine the limits of a child's dreams.

Our work goes beyond autism awareness. We are working toward acceptance, inclusion, access, opportunity, and belonging. We are committed to helping bridge the gaps that can prevent families, especially those in underserved communities, from receiving the resources and support they need.

What began with two little boys, Chase and Chance, has grown into a mission to help countless children and families know they are not alone.

And most importantly, we want every autistic child to know:
